Free In-Home Safety Assessment

A no-cost, no-obligation visit to evaluate fall risks, measure the bathroom, and recommend the right package. If the bathroom turns out not to be the only concern, we’ll say so and help you figure out what to tackle first.

What the visit covers

  • Walk the bathroom to identify fall risks — tub entry, flooring, lighting, and reach points
  • Measure the space so pricing reflects your actual bathroom, not a generic estimate
  • Recommend the package that fits the need and the budget, with no pressure to size up
  • Point out other fall risks we notice elsewhere in the home, whether or not we do that work

Packages & Pricing

Four levels of work, priced by scope. These ranges are starting points — your written quote comes out of the free in-home assessment, so the number reflects your bathroom instead of an average one.

Package 1

Safety Essentials

$650 – $1,800+Typically 1 day

For clients who just need the highest-risk hazards fixed now, without a full remodel.

  • 3–4 grab bars, professionally anchored into blocking (not just drywall anchors)
  • Comfort-height toilet swap (17–19”)
  • Handheld showerhead on a sliding bar
  • Non-slip flooring treatment or slip-resistant bath mat
  • Improved lighting (motion-sensor night light or brighter fixture)

Best for

Adult children who want their parent safer this week, or a pre-hospital-discharge fix.

Package 2

Fast-Track Shower Conversion

$6,500 – $10,500+Typically 3–5 days

The most requested package: removes the fall hazard of climbing over a tub edge.

  • Full tub removal and disposal
  • Prefab or acrylic walk-in shower base and wall surround
  • Comfort-height toilet
  • Lever-handle faucet (easier grip than knobs)
  • Slip-resistant flooring
  • 2–3 grab bars meeting ADA dimensional specs
  • Drain and valve relocation as needed

Best for

Clients who want a quick, contained project and don’t need custom tile.

Package 3

Custom Accessible Remodel

$11,000 – $18,000+Typically 2–3 weeks

A fully personalized bathroom that still looks like a nice bathroom, not a medical fixture.

  • Curbless (zero-threshold) shower entry with linear drain
  • Custom tile walls and floor, homeowner’s choice of style
  • Fold-down bench (17–18” height)
  • Grab bars meeting ADA dimensional specs at entry, wall, and bench
  • Comfort-height toilet and accessible vanity with knee clearance
  • Upgraded lighting and ventilation
  • Thermostatic shower valve (holds a set temperature to reduce scald risk)

Best for

Clients planning to stay in the home long-term who want it to look updated, not “medicalized.”

Package 4

Full Universal Design Retrofit

$19,000 – $28,000+Typically 3–4 weeks

For wheelchair access or significant mobility needs, built to last through future stages of aging.

  • Doorway widened to 32”+ for walker/wheelchair clearance
  • 60”x60” curbless roll-in shower
  • Reinforced walls so grab bars can be added later throughout the shower and toilet areas
  • Custom tile, vanity, and fixtures
  • Structural, electrical, and plumbing coordination as required
  • Optional: heated flooring, smart lighting

Best for

Clients with a diagnosed mobility condition, or planning ahead for a spouse or parent moving in.

Pricing shown is an estimate range and timelines are typical durations, not guarantees. Both depend on existing plumbing, structural conditions, fixture selections, permitting, and material availability. Every quote is written and itemized before work begins. Grab bars and fixtures are installed to ADA dimensional specifications where the space allows; ADA itself governs public accommodations rather than private homes, so a residential bathroom is not certified as ADA-compliant.

Prefer to skip the form? Call or text us.

Reach us at (217) 899-5627 — calls and texts both come to the same number. Send a photo of the bathroom if you have one; it helps us point you to the right package before we ever visit.

Tell us a little about the bathroom and who it’s for. We’ll follow up to schedule the in-home visit — usually within 24–48 hours. If it’s urgent, like a hospital discharge coming up, call and say so and we’ll work around that date.
